samaire armstrong

Samaire (pronounced SA-mee-rah) Armstrong (born October 31, 1980) is an American actress perhaps best known for her roles as Emily on Entourage, as Anna Stern on The O.C., and as Nell Bedworth in the 2006 romantic comedy It's a Boy/Girl Thing; and as Juliet Darling on ABC's Dirty Sexy Money.

I know that updates have been few so far this year and for this I apologise. I have had very little time for the site, and I'm sure that applies to my co-webs also. I also want to applaud Tanja for adding so many great images lately.

Now, on to the good stuff. As you can see, the site has a new layout. I felt that it was time to get rid of the last one and give the site a spring layout.

There are also some changes on the site. The biggest is the spotlight-link above. It will take you to a mini-site about It's a boy girl thing. There are still some things to be added to the site, but I thought that you might like a link to it anyway. I have plans for similar sites for all of Samaire's larger projects (films, tv-shows). I'm not sure when they will appear, but hopefully it will be some time during the spring. They will all be placed under the "career"-link in the menu.

I have also added two new videos to the site. The first one is the trailer to It's a boy girl thing. The second is the commercial Samaire did for Candies.

I have also tried to figure out what's wrong with the commenting system, but have had no luck in bringing back the deleted comments. This is apparently something Cutenews suffers from now and then, at least I think so, since it has happened to me once before. The old comments are gone, but I have managed to get the comments to work again. From this entry and onwards, comments should work again. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it won't happen again!

[edit] Biography Former THE O.C. star SAMAIRE ARMSTRONG has checked into an "outpatient facility" in Los Angeles as she tackles "personal issues", according to the actress' publicist.
The aide refused to go into details about the nature of Amstrong's issues, but confirmed she will continue to work on her new hit U.S. TV show Dirty Sexy Money.
In a statement released late on Friday (12Oct07), Armstrong's publicist told People.com, "Samaire Armstrong decided to enter an outpatient facility to deal with some personal issues in a therapeutic atmosphere and is doing very well.
"She continues to work on her show and will be completing her treatment in a matter of weeks."

[edit] Early life
Armstrong was born in Tokyo, Japan to a Scottish father, Hunter Armstrong, and an Italian mother, Sylvia.[1] Her mother designs spas for resorts and her father teaches soldiers close combat training.[1]

Her first name, pronounced [sm??r] or SA-mee-rah is Gaelic. The first 3 months of her life her parents pronounced her name Sam-air, until they met a Gaelic-speaking man who told them it was properly pronounced SA-mee-rah [citation needed].

Armstrong lived in Japan for several years, before moving to Hawaii and later Sedona, Arizona where she grew up. She has also lived in Malaysia and China. [1] She attended the University of Arizona, but dropped out because of the school drama department's policy of barring freshmen from involvement in productions. Her brother, Hunter Armstrong, is currently attending the University of Arizona. After her departure from school, she moved to Los Angeles.

[edit] Career
Her first major break into film acting was as one half of the conjoined twins the Fratelli sisters in the parody movie Not Another Teen Movie. Armstrong also had a recurring role on Freaks and Geeks, and had guest appearances on Judging Amy, Party of Five, C.S.I.: Miami, Numb3rs and the The X-Files. She was romantically linked to actor Aaron Paul. Armstrong appeared in The O.C. for one episode, and was brought back at fan request for several episodes of the first season. She had a recurring role on the HBO Television Series Entourage.

Her most recent film projects include Stay Alive, Just My Luck and Rise. In 2006, she starred alongside Kevin Zegers in the romantic comedy "It's a Boy/Girl Thing".

Armstrong has been cast in the drama Dirty Sexy Money, which was picked up for the 2007-2008 television season by ABC. She will play a character named Juliet Darling.[2]

In a September 30, 2007 interview with Insidepulse.com, Armstrong expressed regret over appearing in two photo spreads for Maxim magazine, to which the publication responded by retouching her likeness from those images in its online edition.[2]

When not acting, Armstrong is often designing clothes for her own clothing brand called NARU. She has also appeared in music videos such as in Hanson's "Penny and Me" and Daniel Powter's "Bad Day".

October 11, 2007, Samaire admited herself into an outpatient rehab center for undisclosed reasons. Miami, FL, October 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- InsidePulse.com's Murtz Jaffer recently interviewed Samaire Armstrong to promote Dirty Sexy Money and has caused quite a stir.

In the interview, Jaffer asked Armstrong about her decision to pose for Maxim magazine where she was named #55 in Maxim Magazine's Top 100 of 2005. In addition, she was the October 2007 entry in Stuff magazine's 2006-2007 pin up calendar

When he chatted with Armstrong, Jaffer quipped that he didn't know if he would ever get a chance to interview someone who was voted in Maxim Magazine's Hot 100 issue. Then he inquired why she would participate in that issue. Armstrong replied that her former manager decided that she should do it. "And to be honest with you", Armstrong revealed, "I didn't want to do it. I just did. I did it twice but I didn't want to do it either time". She continued, "I really got talked into it. They're fired by the way. I don't work with those managers. And you can put that on the record."

After the interview was published on Prime Time Pulse, the piece was linked to MaximOnline.com. Upon Armstrong's disclosure, the magazine's online website removed the Samaire Armstrong pictures from the photo shoot in question, citing Jaffer's interview as the cause. While the photos are still available on StuffMagazine.com, Maxim, the parent publication, published this tongue-in-cheek message:

We Know What You Did Last Samaire: While promoting her new TV series in a recent interview, Samaire regretted her decision to pose for Stuff―a decision she evidently regretted making twice. Well, consider your wish granted, Sanjaya! Using the magic of the Internets, we′ve gone back in time and erased most of her lapses in judgment. (Sorry; couldn′t do anything about her role on The O.C.)

Armstrong, who first garnered recognition as the conjoined twin in Not Another Teen Movie has since starred in films alongside Lindsay Lohan in Just My Luck and alongside Kevin Zegers in It's a Boy/Girl Thing. She has familiarized herself with audiences from her recurring roles as Emily on Entourage, Anna on The O.C. and will star as Juliet Darling on ABC's Dirty Sexy Money.
